I am a registered tourist guide (license number 230) working in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia Region of Nothern Italy.I feel very fortunate that my job enables me to engage and communicate with people, tourists, and clients from all over the world, and it is this part of my job that I find most fulfilling. Born in Slovakia, I have been working in the hotel and tourism industry for more than 30 years. I have worked as a tourist guide in my native country, Austria, Hungary and, at present, I accompany visitors in Trieste where I have been living for about ten years. Trieste is a beautiful city that has been awakened after a long slumber. Interest in its status and economic importance under Austro-Hungarian Imperialism has been rekindled and revived and can be seen in the grandeur of its harbor and urban planning system. It would be my pleasure to accompany you on leisurely walks around the city, telling you interesting and fascinating stories about its history, culture, architecture as well as the people who have contributed to the development of Trieste over the course of centuries.
